How do you measure a year?

If you’ve ever listened to the soundtrack of, watched the film, or seen the musical RENT by Jonathan Larson, then you know that a year has 525,600 minutes. Every one of us has the same number. How do we use them? What journeys do we go on?

Written in the early 90s, the song proposes we could measure in daylight, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee, in inches, in miles, in laughter, or even in strife. In todays 2015, some might measure a year by the data plan on their phone, their number of social media followers, the width of their TV,……

In the end, the song concludes that these minutes are best measured in seasons of love. This blog will document my journey for at least the next year, and hopefully I can do it in the most loving way possible.
